Bringing Council Services to Your Community

We're taking our council services on the road! Forget the hassle of visiting the office—we’re coming straight to your neighborhood. With our Pop-Up Council, you’ll find everything you need, right where you are. We want to connect with YOU, making it easier to access our services, ask questions, and get the help you need.

In 2022, the Ōtorohanga District Council launched the Pop Up Council initiative to make our services more accessible, especially after the challenges brought on by the Covid lockdowns. This initiative bridges the gap between the Council and our community by bringing our services directly to you.

Our Pop Up Councils act as accessible hub where community members can engage with us, voice their concerns, and participate in local government decision-making without the need to travel to Ōtorohanga. By setting up temporary councils in various locations like community centres, parks, schools, and local events, we ensure our services are available to everyone.

  • No need to travel—your council comes to you!
  • Meet your local representatives, give feedback, and help shape the services we provide.
  • Get to know your neighbors and discover what’s happening in your local area.
  • Be in the loop with council services, and maybe win a prize or two along the way!

Your council, your way—right where you need us.
