Love your library and want to help us make it even better and ready for the future? Or maybe youdon’t use this awesome community facility and want to tell us why!
The library is creating a long-term strategy that will ensure that the future development of library services across the district are what our communities need and want. This plan will also explain how we are going to achieve it and how we are going to measure our success
We need your input to help us create this plan. Let us know what you love about the library now, what we could be doing better and what you think we could be doing in the future.
“What do you imagine for the library over the next ten years and beyond?”
Please fill out the Survey below to help us shape the future. The first lot of questions are our part of our annual survey that allows us to track our progress and the last few questions are additional to deepen our understanding for this plan.
Thank you for taking part in this survey, the start of our engagement with our community. If you feel your community or group would like to have further input, we will be running a series of public workshops across the District. Contact us at library@otodc.govt.nz to tell us about your group/community for us to connect with.

Public engagement
Love your Library has finished this stage
Over the next five weeks, we will be coming out to sector and community groups to ask them for their input into our strategy. If you are part of a group that would like us to come to you, email us at library@otodc.govt.nz
We will also run our annual survey - this will include some additional questions about how Library Services might evolve over the next ten years
Final report of the survey and engagement

We will publish the findings from our engagement. You are welcome to have a browse of what our communities have told us they would like to see included in Library Services over the next ten years. This information will be used as a basis of our DRAFT Ōtorohanga Library Strategy
